Embarking on a pool remodel in Gilbert, AZ, is an exciting venture that promises to transform your backyard into the oasis you’ve always dreamed of. However, for many homeowners, the process itself can seem daunting. At Gilbert Pool Remodeling, we believe in transparency and communication every step of the way. We want you to feel confident and informed throughout your entire remodeling journey.

Here’s a clear, step-by-step guide to what you can expect when you partner with us for your Gilbert pool remodel:

Step 1: The Vision & Design Consultation (Your Dream, Our Expertise)

• Initial Meeting: This is where your ideas come to life! We’ll visit your Gilbert home to discuss your goals, preferences, budget, and how you envision using your new pool space. We’ll assess your existing pool and backyard.
• Design & Material Selection: Based on our discussion, our design experts will present various options for finishes (PebbleTec, tile, quartz), decking, water features, lighting, and any additional amenities. We might even provide 3D renderings to help you visualize the final result.
• Detailed Proposal: You’ll receive a comprehensive proposal outlining the scope of work, materials, timeline, and investment.

Step 2: Planning & Permitting (Ensuring a Smooth Start)

• Agreement & Scheduling: Once you approve the design and proposal, we’ll finalize the contract and secure your project on our schedule.
• Permit Acquisition: Don’t worry about the red tape! We handle all necessary permits and approvals with the City of Gilbert, ensuring your remodel complies with all local building codes and regulations. This crucial step ensures your project progresses smoothly and legally.

Step 3: Demolition & Preparation (Making Way for the New)

• Site Preparation: We’ll protect surrounding areas and set up for safe and efficient work.
• Demolition: Existing old finishes, decking, and sometimes even portions of the pool structure are carefully removed to prepare for the new design. Our team prioritizes cleanliness and minimizes disruption.

Step 4: Structural Work & Infrastructure Upgrades (The Backbone of Your New Pool)

• Structural Modifications: If your design includes changing the pool’s shape, adding a spa, or expanding features, this is where the structural work takes place.
• Plumbing & Electrical: New plumbing lines are installed or updated for water features, filters, and pumps. Electrical work is performed for lighting, heaters, and automation systems, ensuring everything is up to code and perfectly integrated.

Step 5: The Finishing Touches (Where the Magic Happens)

• Tile & Coping Installation: Your chosen waterline tile, decorative accents, and coping (the edge around the pool) are meticulously installed.
• Decking Installation: The new pool deck material (travertine, pavers, cool deck, etc.) is laid, creating a beautiful and functional surrounding area.
• Interior Finish Application: This is the exciting part! Your selected interior finish (PebbleTec, quartz, plaster) is expertly applied, bringing the pool’s surface to life.

Step 6: Startup, Orientation & Enjoyment (Dive In!)

• Pool Startup: After the new finish is applied, the pool is carefully filled, and the chemicals are balanced. Your new equipment is started up and thoroughly tested.
• Homeowner Orientation: We’ll walk you through your new pool’s features, how to operate any new equipment, and basic care instructions.
• Final Walkthrough: We conduct a final inspection with you to ensure every detail meets your satisfaction and our high standards.
